Built properly, so it keeps working
Most website problems we fix were cheap to cause and expensive to undo: a theme with forty plugins, a page builder that slows every page, no backups, no staging site, updates nobody dared to run. The site looked fine on launch day and got worse every month.
We build the other way. Clean code, only the plugins and apps you need, version control, a staging site for every change, and hosting we manage ourselves. It takes a little longer up front and saves you a great deal later.

Speed fixes we make most often
- Moving from shared hosting to managed hosting with server caching and a CDN
- Replacing heavy page builders with clean templates
- Removing plugins and apps nobody uses, and replacing ones that load scripts on every page
- Resizing and compressing images, and serving them in modern formats
- Loading fonts, chat widgets and tracking scripts later, so the page appears first
- Fixing layout shifts caused by images, adverts and banners with no set size
- Cleaning up the database on older WordPress and WooCommerce sites
Signs you need a developer as well as a designer

Rescuing a hacked or broken site
If your site has been hacked, we take a backup, find how the attacker got in, remove the malicious code, close the hole, change every password and key, and ask Google to review the site if it has been flagged. Then we put monitoring in place so it does not happen again. Louie leads this work.
Accessibility in practice
Building to WCAG 2.2 AA means things you can check: text that is readable against its background, every function usable with a keyboard, images described for screen readers, forms with proper labels and error messages, and pages that still work when zoomed to 200%. We test with automated tools and by hand before launch.
Hosting, security and support
Louie runs our hosting and security. Your site sits on managed hosting with a CDN, daily backups kept off-site, uptime monitoring and security patches applied on a schedule, tested on staging first.
After launch you can choose a monthly care plan that covers updates, backups, monitoring, security and a set amount of development time for changes. [to confirm: response times and the support levels you offer]
You own it
Your domain, hosting account, code repository, theme, content and every login are in your name. There is no lock-in. If you ever move on, you take everything with you, with the documentation to hand it over.
